DO THE CHAIRPADS COME WITH TIES?
No, however, we recommend the use of non-skid padding under the chairpad to prevent slipping.
CAN CERTAIN COLORS BE REMOVED OR ADDED TO HIT AND MISS DESIGNS?
No, reason being our designs are pre-created in the pre-braided stage in order to manufacture a seamless change of colorations.
DO YOU MAKE RECTANGULAR SHAPED BRAIDED RUGS?
Not at the present time, only oval, octagon, or round
IF YOU CLAIM YOUR BEACON HILL/MINUTEMAN IS THE BEST QUALITY BRAIDED RUG ON THE MARKET, HOW CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW ANOTHER RUG WITH A HIGHER WOOL CONTENT IS PRICED AT A MUCH LOWER COST?
What you saw was a wool yarn constructed braided rug. Beacon Hill/Minuteman is a cloth construction. Even though the wool content in the rug you saw was higher, it is still yarn. Remember, "yarn" constructed braids begin as yarn and then are wrapped around a filler. Cloth constructed braids start from bolts of fabric (which cost more than yarn), then are cut and folded into strips and then braided. There is no filler used and you have a product that is more true to its origin.
WILL MY BRAIDED RUG UNRAVEL?
A braided rug is as strong and durable as the thread it is sewn together with. We only use the highest quality thread available. If inferior thread is used, it will start to breakdown in manufacturing when it's subjected to the heat of the sewing needle. We use the same quality thread that high quality shoe manufacturer's use to sew shoes and that would be a heavy cotton wrapped spun polyester thread. In addition, we use a lock stitch method so that if one stitch should break, the thread will not keep unraveling.
HOW DO I FIGURE THE SIZE RUG I NEED?
This really is a personal preference. Some people want to cover more floor, while others only want minimal coverage. A good idea is to create a template out of newspaper, which will cover the area where you want the rug placed. This will give you an actual visual of how much floor area you want covered. Once you decide, measure your template and you will be on your way to ordering the size that works best for you. If you are using your rug for under a dining room table, the rule is to measure 2" extra all around the size of your table. This will allow the room you need when seated at the table.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A CUSTOM SIZED BRAIDED RUG?
Since almost half of our production is devoted to custom sizes, these do not take any longer to get than our standard size offerings.
IS THERE A WARRANTY ON YOUR RUGS?
We have a one year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
HOW CLOSE WILL MY RUG LOOK TO THE SAMPLE THAT I ORDERED FROM?
Since all of our raw material is made to our specification, we can guarantee that your rug will be commercially matched to the store sample.
HOW LONG WILL MY BRAIDED RUG LAST?
Depending on the care given to your rug, some customers have had their rugs for up to 30 years or longer.
IF PUTTING MY BRAIDED RUG UNDER MY DINING ROOM TABLE, DO I STILL NEED A PAD?
Most definitely, yes. The back and forth movement from the chairs creates tension on the stitching, therefore, a pad is essential.
WHY IS PADDING SO IMPORTANT?
| Padding is important for four reasons:
1) The first and most obvious is to prevent the rug from sliding.
2) Since the rugs are reversible, padding keeps the underside clean.
3) Padding actually helps prevent your floors from being scratched by sand and
grit that could get through.
4) The most important reason is to be certain that you will attain the maximum
lifespan of your rug. Padding will lessen the tension put on the stitching from
walking or movement of furniture.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY NEW WOOL HOOKED RUG?
For daily maintenance we recommend using an upright beater bar vacuum cleaner. For spot or light cleaning, we recommend using "Capture" by Milliken. For deep cleaning we recommend a certified professional carpet cleaning company. In the event of loose yarn, do not pull but simply snip with a scissors clean at the surface level.
HOW HARD IS IT TO MAINTAIN MY NEW BRAIDED RUG?
All of our rugs have care and cleaning information on the labels and we feel that braided rug maintenance is quite simple. We recommend using an upright beater bar vacuum and for spot cleaning, use "Capture" by Milliken. For a deep cleaning we recommend steam extraction by a certified professional carpet cleaning company. Also, remember that braided rugs are reversible and using a non-skid pad will help keep the underside clean.
